Ha! Jimmy sent me this photo. It made me ridiculously happy. We txt pretty much every day and talk once a week. I can't wait to see her.
GDC 2006 was actually pretty good for me. Initially, I was a bit reluctant to go since I wasn't covering the show and didn't want to feel like a waste of space, but I opted to attend mainly to see B.B. It was excellent seeing her and catching up and all that stuff. It was great seeing lots of old friends, furthering relationships, and, most importantly, discovering new opportunities. I was actually surprised at all the work potential there for me (at times I forget how awesome I am). Right now, I'm just looking for E3 work. I should be able to confirm something in the next week or two. There are also longer-term opportunities there for me. I just need to figure out what's best and what I really want to do.
Anyway, here are some pics from the show. The impromptu Reset reunion made me a bit sad, which led to me getting drunk rather easily (I haven't been drunk in weeks). I'm going to miss those guys. They're quite excellent. It was so much fun to work with them and we all feel that management was being short sighted (and is some cases just flat-out stupid)…such a wasted opportunity for them. Oh well, I learned a lot and had a great time. Nothing can ever take that away.
