Chicken Soup for the Soul…of the Damned!!!

Well, it wasn’t chicken soup…and my soul isn’t damned (I think). Anyway! There’s something about having soup on a brisk autumn day that’s just so right. Having the same soup during the spring or summer isn’t nearly the same. I’m pretty sure there’s some sort of magic that changes the whole thing…probably alchemy.

  1. I have been craving soup like mad lately. Tomato — matzo ball — it doesn’t matter so long as it’s hot and tasty. Not that I’ve been eating any soup. But I would like to… πŸ™‚

  2. Initially I ordered borscht, because is sounded Russian and hearty. I’ve never had it before and was quite shocked to learn that it was purple. It really freaked me out so I sent it back for a lovely pumpkin curry bisque-ish thingie that was rather scrumptious.

    Borscht is a cabbage soup — so maybe it was purple cabbage — or maybe it was beets! πŸ™‚

  4. Yes, Z informed me that it was made from beets. I still can’t back purple soup. It’s the oddest foodstuff I’ve seen since I came across canned bread at the grocery.
